If you could escape daily reality and have full control over your destination, where would you go to? This is the question we asked young artists in the exhibition TOEVLUCHT (22/9 – 26/9), held at the Havenloods in Utrecht.
Twelve talented artists and artist collectives from Utrecht took ‘toevlucht’ (translated as refuge) as subject in their art. From paintings to digital dreamscapes, from tangible sculptures to sparkling light art, from inspiring guest speakers to poets: it all came together during TOEVLUCHT. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between Twaalf getalenteerde Utrechtse kunstenaars en kunstenaarscollectieven onderzochten het thema ‘toevlucht’. Van schilderijen tot digitale dreamscapes, van tastbare sculpturen tot sprankelende lichtkunst, van inspirerende sprekers tot zwevende dichters: tijdens TOEVLUCHT kwam het allemaal samen. De expositie is een samenwerking tussen Stichting De Maakruimte, De Kleine Kunstkamer and Stichting FAAM.
